Knights of Columbus, The Father Edmund P. McCarthy Council #9428
Join with other Catholic men in a fraternal organization devoted to the Church, charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of every month. Rosary at 7 p.m. Meeting follows at 7:30 p.m.
Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus
The Ladies of Virginia is a state organization open to any wife, mother, sister, daughter or widow of an active or deceased member of the Knights of Columbus. Join to enhance spiritual growth and sociability, support charitable and civic endeavors, and promote and assist the Knights of Columbus Council #9428. To be a member you must be at least 18 years of age. Membership is free.
Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites
The members of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites are faithful members of the Church, called to live in the presence of God through the spirit of contemplative prayer. The Community of Little Therese meets the first Sunday of each month at Saint Joan of Arc Church in York County. Members are from parishes in Gloucester and York Counties, Newport News and Williamsburg.

What are Small Christian Communities? They are small groups (8-12 people) who meet monthly (usually in each other’s homes) to get to know each other better and to support and encourage each other as they grow in their faith and attempt to live out their faith commitment. When they gather, they have a social time, almost always eat, and then spend some time reflecting on the Sunday readings or other topics related to faith. It is a great opportunity to share questions and concerns about your religion in an environment that is open and supportive and to get to know fellow parishioners better.
