LITURGICAL MINISTRIES TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:

St. Therese is calling you! We ask all parishioners to prayerfully consider into which liturgical ministry you are willing to serve. We have need for people in every ministry at every Mass – altar servers, ushers, Eucharistic ministers, lectors. There are sign-up sheets in the gathering space and there will be training opportunities before and after every Mass the weekend of May 24th and 25th. Contact Kerry Fallon with any questions or concerns. K.Fallon@stthersglo.org or 804-693-5939.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION OPPORTUNITY – THE FOURTH PILLAR: PRAYER

Beginning mid-June (exact day/time TBD) we will offer “an 8-week-Life-Enriching Experience Based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius”. This is an opportunity to find spiritual renewal through prayer, deepening our friendships with Christ and participation in His mission, as the preface of the program states. This is not so much about education as it is formation and transformation. Each week there will be fellowship, prayer, support, encouragement and inspiration. Look for more information and sign-up details in the gathering space. Contact Kerry Fallon with any questions or concerns. K.Fallon@stthersglo.org or 804-693-5939.

POPE FRANCIS

A Message from Father Gregory

Easter Monday, April 21, 2025

Only yesterday Pope Francis gave his Easter blessing to us in St. Peter’s Square. My mind can’t help but recall Mother Teresa, who kept serving the Lord all the way until the end.

Pope Francis dies on Easter, for it is Easter Monday, the second day in the eight-day “Day” which begins on Easter Sunday, all one Easter “day”. May the risen Lord Jesus receive him into His embrace.

And now Christ’s Church will go on, as it has for over 2000 years, under the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Now we support the leaders of the Church with our prayers as they discern the next successor to the Chair of Peter.

Christ is risen, alleluia!

PLANT SWAP

Justice and Charity Ministry will have a Caring for Creation Plant Swap on April 26th and 27th after each Mass.  As you clean, trim, and prepare your gardens for Spring, please put any extra plants in pots to share at the plant swap.  You do not have to bring a plant to receive plants as they are gifts to be shared with others.  Let’s share God’s blessings!
